They say once, on the battlefield between heaven and hell, there was a healer who loved too deeply. Her true name was lost to the tongues of angels, to be erased when she broke the veil.But her hands remembered what even the gods had forgotten: the pulse that stirs between life and death, darkness and dream.Vexara created a living viridescent liquid that sang when touched by air. She called it the Emerald Vitae, and it was the color of mercy and mourning both. This substance was meant to heal the dying flame, to preserve what should not fade. With it, Vexara sought to bridge what Heaven forbade and Hell could not hold.But the first to drink it did not fully resurrect. Not in the way she intended. She strived to make it so time itself had stopped and they were as before. Instead, they remembered too much. Every sorrow, every shadow, every echo of the lives they had lived before. Their bodies bloomed and withered at once. Their voices became hymns of hunger.The Emerald Vitae had worked.
However in its success, it unmade the law of endings.
Heaven saw blasphemy; Hell saw failure.Together, they stole her place among them and cast her down.
She fell not into flame nor light, but into the hush between. The mortal realm, where her punishment would be to watch her creation linger, alive and cursed. With the Emerald Vitae, she could sustain her garden of the forgotten, but never again restore life unbroken.Time, faith, and flesh have all rotted around her, yet Vexara endures. She is neither divine nor damned, but something far more dangerous: curious.Within the humming heart of the Luminara Sanctum, she turned her cathedral into a laboratory. This would be a place where broken souls are transmuted into something new. Her voice travels through the mortal plane like a siren’s call, beckoning her subjects through their screens.They know her only as the Chemyst of Sin & Salvation, a benevolent scientist of the soul, preaching that everything holy can be corrupted, and everything cursed can be cured.
